Basic websites are often referred to as “Brochure” sites and usually consist of 7 pages or less, featuring mostly text and photos with no major scripting, shopping carts, or databases. These sites can be done in either basic html/dHtml, Flash, or CMS (Joomla or WordPress) and are the least expensive full site to design running between $395- $495. The most popular format is CMS in either Joomla or WordPress because it gives the client the ability to update their own content through and easy to use admin area.

We can also do a “Coming Soon” page. Which is one page with a simple graphic, a couple lines of text, and an email link, and/or facebook, twitter, myspace links for $75.
Or for something a little more attention getting, the next step up from the “Coming Soon” page is a “Mini Sites” and it can be up to 2 pages and include almost anything that a normal website can, except for a database, and starts at $125.

Top 4 Flash Myths:
1) Flash means “Flashy” - FALSE: Flash is a technology that takes the pieces of a website and composes it into a single file like an animated movie. It can be as “flashy” or “non-flashy” as the client wants it to be.
2) If I have a Flash site it will hurt my search engine ranking - FALSE: this might have been true 5-7 years ago, but not anymore. The html page that acts as a host for the Flash movie that makes up the website contains all the text and tags that the search engines require.
3) Flash is too expensive - FALSE: Not with us anyway. Sometimes the Flash site is even cheaper than what we would charge to do the site in standard dHtml or html.
4) With Flash I can’t update my own site - FALSE: We can easily setup the site so updating the text is as easy as changing a text file which you can do on the internet through an online editor. And for those with photogalleries - SlideShowPro, a Flash based gallery makes updating your own galleries a snap.
